And the story...

As you may have guessed, Sailor Venus is my favourite Sailor Moon character :P I have always wanted to make several of her outfits, and the princess dress was on my top priority list.
To make this costume, I had to mix 2 patterns in order to obtain the shape I wanted. As I was afraid to mess up the top, my grandmother sewed the parts together for me, and I made the rest. Nothing was really difficult, except sewing the veil because I have no dummy at home. In the end, everything went quite well, but I regret I made the belt part too large. :(
This dress wasn't the ideal costume to walk around in a convention! The ribbon straps kept sliding off my shoulders, and the dress was so long that I couldn't walk properly without lifting it permanently. People also kept stepping on my veil, it was all disgusting at the end of the day =_= I'm still glad nobody actually ripped it by accident. Anyway, I'm glad I made it, I like the golden yellow color a lot! Sorry for spamming this page with so many pictures, but I liked the result of the photoshooting so much I had a hard time choosing the pics. =)
